As the seasons change, there are some changes at 2 Ears. The current space I am renting works well in the summer, but doesn't work for the winter. I cannot ask you to spend an hour outside in the cold to train your pup. I am looking for a space large enough to train in that is heated. Until I can secure a new space, I will be training private lessons only.

Training Offered
Puppy Star
Puppies learn so much in their first few weeks and months of life. It is important to start their training and socialization early. In Puppy Star Class, your new puppy will learn the basic commands and, more importantly, will be socialized with other dogs and people. Upon graduation you will receive the American Kennel Club Puppy Star form if you wish to register. Please bring proof of vaccination, a variety of soft chew treats, a collar and non-rectractable leash, and poo bags to each class. Classes are held one hour, one evening a week, for 6 weeks. The course cost is $90. Your puppy must be at least 8 weeks old, be de-wormed, and have started the puppy distemper vaccine series.
Basic Obedience 2 - Canine Good Citizenship
Now that you have completed Basic Obedience 1, let's work on getting your great dog to the perfect pooch for you. If you want to bring your well mannered dog to lunch on the patio, shopping, or outdoor events, this is the class to get you ready. All dogs must complete Basic Obedience 1 before signing up for Basic Obedience 2 - Canine Good Citizenship. During this class you will not be using treats, but rather praise or a favorite toy to let them know they are doing great. Your dog will be tested on *walking nicely on a leash *sitting politely for petting and brushing *walking through a crowd *reactions to distractions *interactions with other dogs *encountering friendly strangers *come & stay *three-minute separation Please bring proof of DHPP & Rabies vaccinations, a collar and non-rectractable leash, and poo bags to each class. Classes are held one evening a week for 6 weeks. The course cost is $100. After completing the class, you will have the opportunity to have your pup tested for the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizenship. If passed, you will be provided with the paperwork necessary to register your CGC with the AKC. Evaluations are an $20 each. Basic Obedience 1
You've made it through the puppy stage! Congratulations to you and your furry friend. Now is the time to up the game a bit and correct some of the less than desirable behaviors that may have crept in. We will work on obedience, verbal and hand signals, clicker training, proper hold techniques and boredom busting brain games. Please bring proof of DHPP & Rabies vaccinations, a variety of soft chew treats, a collar and non-rectractable leash, and poo bags to each class. Classes are held one evening a week for 6 weeks. The course cost is $100.
Private Training
Sometimes, you may desire a little on-on-one training in your own home to correct unwanted behaviors or train desired behaviors. Many private lessons work to solve issues such as anxiety, barking, counter surfing, or bolting out of the home. We call them family manners. We strive to build behaviors that create a calm, safe, and happy household. Your trainer will need to know what issues you would like to work on and let you know what they will need from you. Private Training is $75 per hour.
